Headset volume buttons do not change the volume level of the connected device
If you are unable to control the volume of a the device connected to your headset using the headset controls, try the following:
Check if the headset is connected to your device with the audio cable.
The headset can be connected via Bluetooth® or the audio cable. When using the cable, the controls on the headset are disabled. In this setup, volume and playback controls can made using the connected device.
Try disabling TTY, if enabled, in your device settings menu.
In your device phone settings, look for the TTY setting. This setting can be useful for hearing-impairments. However, when enabled, volume from your device might be increased and might not reduce as much as when the setting is disabled. If enabled, disable TTY and try again.
Reboot the Bluetooth® device.
Electronics, such as cell phones, tablets or computers, might need to be reset on occasion to correct minor issues. This is typically done by turning the device off, then powering it on again.
