Connecting headphones to your system

You can connect headphones to your system for situations when low volume listening is needed. This can be useful, for example, to listen to audio at night without disturbing others in your home with the sound from your speakers.

Connecting headphones to an Acoustic Wave music system.

  • Acoustic Wave AW-1, CD2000, CS2010 and CD3000 systems do not have a dedicated headphone jack, and Bose is unable to supply or recommend a particular headphone booster/amplifier.
  • A headphone amplifier can be connected to the Line Out jacks on the back of the system provided it has an RCA input, power (to amplify the signal), a headphone output, and volume control.
  • Connecting to the Line Out jacks does not turn off the speakers. The adjustment of the system's volume level does not affect the signal level of the Line Out jacks.
