Using component video cables with your system

You can connect video to your system and/or pass it along to your TV using a component video adapter. This provides the best image quality from your system.

To set up the component video adapter:

Before you begin

Be sure you have the correct adapter. The component video adapter for your system is identified by a yellow Composite connector on the two-plug side of the adapter.

Connecting the adapter

  1. Connect the two-plug side of the adapter to the S-Video and Composite jacks in the VIdeo OUT section on the back of the system console
  2. Connect a component video cable to the other end of the adapter. Be sure to match the red, green and blue colored plugs on the cable to the same colored connectors on the adapter
  3. Connect the other end of the component cable to the red, green and blue component video jacks on your TV

Configuring your system

  1. Power on your system
  2. On the remote control, press the System button
  3. Scroll right to select Video, then press the Enter button
  4. Scroll down to select Video Connector, then press the Enter button
  5. Scroll down to select Component, then press the Enter button
  6. Scroll down to select Progressive Scan, then press the Enter button
  7. Scroll up to select On, then press the Enter button
  8. Press the Exit button to exit the menu
