Bose Bass Module 700

Sound you can feel

Love your new Bose soundbar but want to kick the performance up a notch? Add the Bose Bass Module 700—it’s the difference between hearing bass and feeling thunder. And it’s the best wireless bass module we’ve ever designed for any of our home cinema systems. In fact, it’s the best performance you can get from a subwoofer of this size. It connects wirelessly to your soundbar and adds even more depth and impact to everything from explosive movie effects to house-rocking playlists.

Beautiful inside and out

With its premium glass-top finish, the Bose Bass Module 700 offers a sophisticated look that you won’t find in typical subwoofers or home cinema equipment. Of course, this isn’t typical equipment. This subwoofer delivers a dynamic range of bass from a powerful driver and generously sized port, with QuietPort technology that virtually eliminates distortion. So go ahead, turn up the music and feel that rhythm move through the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impactful Sound, Beautiful Package Big fan of these. Several years ago I bought what was the Bose Soundbar 700 - this has since been replaced with the updated / renamed Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar, both of which work with these speakers - alongside the Bass Module 700. Just recently, I purchased these speakers as the final add-on to the setup to complete it, and I'm very happy. I love the wireless connectivity, simplicity of setup, they look great, and despite their small size they pump. Some content is very subtle, others are more obvious, it really depends on the mastering of the soundtrack. I also noticed that when playing music via Spotify casting, you do get audio out of these speakers. I can't really tell if Bose is doing some clever audio processing, or maybe some of these tracks come with some sort of surround sound mastering (I don't think so), or maybe they're just duplicating the full track audio to all connected speakers. Regardless, it's nice to hear music coming from all directions. I have these paired with the Bose stands, which are a perfect height for a standard couch. There are basically no options in the Bose app for these speakers - the settings seem to apply to the whole system as far as Bass, etc... - but you can control the overall volume in comparison to the rest of the system to make them more or less subtle. You'll want to experiment with the Bose "Adaptiq" calibration & this setting to get it to where you want. At the end of the day, these provide impactful, detailed surround sound in a sleek and beautiful package, as you'd expect from Bose. The price tag is, arguably, too high. But for the entire experience when getting the full Soundbar 700 / Ultra set, it's hard to complain about the cost because it's just so enjoyable. I've had the rest of the system for years and have no desire to swap or upgrade, despite having the "old" 700 Soundbar model and missing out on the Atmos up-firing speakers. These complete my setup, and I plan on keeping it rolling for many years to come.

FAQs

Can the Bose Bass Module 700 be wired?

Yes. If for some reason a wired connection is preferred, the Bose Bass Module 700 can be hardwired together using the Bose Bass Module Connection Cable.

What placement guidelines should be considered to ensure optimal audio performance of the Bose Bass Module 700?

For the best sound quality, the Bose Bass Module 700 should be placed on the floor against the same wall as the television and soundbar, with an electrical socket nearby for the power cord. The bass module should not be placed on a shelf or table. For more bass, the bass module should be placed closer to walls and corners. For less bass, the bass module should be pulled away from walls and corners.

Can the Bose Bass Module 700 be added to other one-piece Bose speakers, such as the Bose Smart Speaker 500 or SoundTouch 10 wireless speaker?

No. The Bose Bass Module 700 can only be added to the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar, Bose Smart Soundbar 600, Bose Smart Soundbar 900, Bose Smart Soundbar 300, Bose TV Speaker, Bose Smart Soundbar 700, Bose Soundbar 500 and the SoundTouch 300 soundbar.
