Heart rate monitor setup - Strava (Android)

To setup the heart rate sensor in Strava on Android, follow these steps:

Make sure the SoundSport® Pulse headphones are powered on and connected to your Android phone. To verify, there should be a small dot on either side of the Bluetooth® icon on the status bar at the top of the screen.

You can also navigate to the Bluetooth® page in your phone’s Settings menu to confirm that Bose® SoundSport® Pulse is under "Paired Devices" with the word “Connected” under it.

Insert the SoundSport® Pulse headphones in your ears. The heart rate sensor is located in the left earbud, so make sure the left earbud is securely in place

Open the Strava app

Log in to the app or create an account

Tap “Feed” in the upper, left-hand corner of the screen, then select "Record Activity"

Tap the “External sensors” icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen

Strava will automatically begin searching for heart rate sensors. When “HR-Bose® Soundsport® Pulse” appears in the "Nearby Sensors" list, tap it

The heart rate sensor should automatically connect. “HR-Bose® Soundsport® Pulse” will appear in the "Saved Sensors" list and the text will turn orange once it is connected. After a few seconds, your heart rate should appear under it
