Bose Connect app mobile screen

One app. Complete control.

The Bose Connect app gives you easy access to everything your product has to offer. Get tips, unlock product features and personalise your settings, so you can spend more time enjoying the music instead of setting it up.

Track your performance and see your heart rate in real time, so you’ll know when it’s time to go harder or take it down a notch. And remember, sharing is caring. You can connect two pairs of wireless Bose headphones, so you and your friend can listen to the same thing at the same time. We hope you have a good playlist lined up.

Stay tangle free

A quick, wireless connection gets you moving faster. Pairing to your Bluetooth® device is easy with voice prompts, or if you have an NFC enabled device, just tap your phone to the inline remote. You’ll get up to five hours of wireless power from the rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

Inline mic

There’s no need to interrupt your workout. Want the music louder or have to take a call? An inline mic/remote lets you answer/end calls, play/pause tracks and adjust volume—without reaching for your phone.

Unmatched combination of comfort and stability

When you move, you want earbuds that stay put. Our StayHear®+ Pulse tips deliver stability during your most intense workouts. Their redesigned shape stays comfortable and creates a gentle seal in your ear, which improves audio performance. And the extended wing provides support and stays secure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flawlessly logged 1200 miles and 200 hours running I'm a serious runner and like many others, when I run, I like to listen to music and podcasts to overcome the monotony of longer runs and keep me motivated to run faster. Throughout the years, I've been a big fan of Bose in-ear headphones, because of their patented earbuds, which "hook" into your outer ear lobe so that they don't fall out. This is the first pair of wireless headphones, which I've been kind of "forced" to buy, due to newer phones getting rid of their headphone jacks. At first, I had some reservations switching to Bluetooth because it drains your phone's battery, has slightly worse sound quality, and is generally less reliable (although, I caveat this with the fact the fact that all headphone jacks eventually wear out, which means that they are also not a perfect solution). I chose the SoundSport Pulse because I didn't trust the SoundSport Free Truly Wireless Sport Headphones additional weight to stay in my ears, and I thought the heartbeat monitoring was a nice feature. Looking back, I use a Garmin Forerunner 735XT, which tracks my heart rate and a bunch of other metrics, so I probably didn't need this feature. This pair of headphones has thoroughly impressed me. I initially bought them over a year ago just in time to run a half-marathon. During the two-hour race, it rained with medium intensity the entire time. A couple of days later, the headphones were inoperable. I brought them back to the Bose store with receipt in hand, and they exchanged them no questions asked. Since then, I've logged over 1200 miles for a total of almost 200 hours through oppressive Florida summers, thunderstorms, and sub-20 degree Fahrenheit weather without a single hiccup from my headphones. Additionally, I wear these headphones when I detail my cars, ride my bicycle, and walk my dogs. They perform admirably for all of those activities. The only complaints I have with the headphones is that the cord that attaches the two earbuds can be annoying and takes a bit of getting used to, but they also mean that you are less likely to misplace an earbud and that the bezel on one of the earbuds came free (as depicted in the picture), but that has not affected performance whatsoever. Also, they don't fit well under hats and helmets, which would be nice for when I go skiing or ride my motorcycle. I'm about to run my second marathon and sixth or seventh race, and I'm going into the race with full confidence in my headphones. I will definitely choose Bose for my next pair of earbuds, which will probably be the SoundSport Free Truly Wireless Sport Headphones, so standby for my review on those.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I won’t use any other Company I’ve bought these around 2 years ago.. First pair the buttons rubber came off, so was replaced near end of warranty. The replacement had a tinny bass on the left, but put up with it for months as I couldn’t be without headphone for the 2 week period of replacement. I use them everyday for 5+ hours. But when I had enough I decided to get in touch and the service was just as good as usual. Never had any other issues. Battery’s are superb, headphones are the best in ear I have had. Thanks BOSE for your impeccable service..

How accurate is the heart rate sensor? What do I do if the sensor stops reading my heart rate?

Heart rate readings taken in the ear are comparable in accuracy to those taken from a chest strap. To ensure an accurate reading, the sensor window (located on the left earbud) should be in contact with the skin. If the sensor stops providing a heart rate measurement, try adjusting the left earbud and verifying Bluetooth® connection to your device. If that doesn't restore function, wipe the sensor window with a damp cloth.

How comfortable and stable are SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones?

SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones use a variation of the StayHear+ tips, with a cutout to accommodate the heart rate sensor (which needs to be in contact with the ear for the best performance). The earbud design creates a stable yet comfortable fit during an intense workout.

Are SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones sweat resistant?

Yes. SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones are protected against splashing sweat or water from any angle. They should not be submerged in water.

What is the range of SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones?

SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones have a range of 9 m (30 ft) from the source device. This range may be reduced by physical obstructions, such as walls and doors, or by interference from other electronic devices. Generally, the range of SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones can be described as the room the user is in and the adjacent room.

What is the battery life of SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones?

SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones have up to 5 hours of battery life. Battery life is defined as the number of hours fully charged headphones can be actively used while listening to audio or making a phone call.

Can you listen to music when the battery is depleted? Can you quickly charge the battery?

SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones will not play music when the battery is fully depleted. However, if the battery is depleted, a quick 15-minute charge provides approximately one hour of play time.

Is there a way to turn off the heart rate sensor?

No. The user cannot actively turn off the heart rate sensor; however, the sensor only communicates heart rate when connected to an app. If the left earbud (where the sensor resides) is removed from the ear or if the sensor is not connected to an app, it stops transmitting data.

How are the StayHear+ Pulse tips included with the SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones different from the original StayHear+ tips?

SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones use a variation of the StayHear+ tips, with a cutout to accommodate the sensor window. Because of this difference in design, the StayHear+ Pulse tips cannot be used on the SoundSport wireless headphones or any other Bose in-ear headphones.

Can I use SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones with my favourite fitness app?

Yes. Heart rate measurements taken from SoundSport Pulse headphones can be communicated to any third party fitness app that utilises Bluetooth® 4.0 (heart rate service). Most popular fitness apps, including MapMyRun, Runkeeper, Strava, Endomondo, Runtastic and Apple HealthKit, are compatible with SoundSport Pulse headphones.

Will SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones cancel out noise on a plane?

No. SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones do not employ noise reduction technology. For noise reduction, Bose offers QuietComfort headphones.

How do I clean my SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones?

The sensor window on the left earbud of SoundSport Pulse wireless headphones should be wiped with a damp cloth after every three to four uses for best performance. While the entire earbud doesn't require scheduled cleaning, occasional cleaning may be needed. If exterior surfaces of the earbud need to be cleaned, gently wipe with a slightly moist cloth. Be careful not to allow any moisture to enter the headphones through the ports or the USB connector. (Cleaning the door covering the USB with a moist cloth is acceptable.) In addition, be certain not to force any dirt or debris into the ports. Do not blow air into or vacuum the ports or nozzle.

What is PerformTek® Precision Biometrics?

PerformTek Precision Biometrics is a patent-protected technology that continuously measures real-time biometric data with a high degree of accuracy and consistency, and uses this data to give people meaningful fitness assessments.
